The Evils of Multiculturalism

Multiculturalism is one of those things that you wonder where it came from and what purpose it serves. It is not something of which we should be proud. It is a blight on our country, and weakens our Great Nation as the movement gains strength. It rose to great prominence during the Clinton administration. It is a political tool used to separate people into groups so that each group can be targeted for campaigning. That is why you will hear a person seeking office say one thing to Blacks and another to Hispanics, or one thing to unions and another in "right to work" states. One would think we would catch on! James Carvel is the man who worked to perfect its use during both of President Clinton's campaigns. It has literally caused an extreme hatred between the parties which never existed before its rise. The hatred, if left alone, will eventually tear down our Country's character and structure.

When you take a good look at what exactly multiculturalism is, you can spot the evil which lies within its structure. Multiculturalism's sole purpose is to divide people. It pits the haves against the have nots; the Blacks against the Whites; the Blacks against the Hispanics; the Blacks and the Hispanics against the Orientals; the Jews against the Christians; Catholics against Protestants, and so on and so on. It is divisive in its very nature. It stirs up bigotry among our population for the purpose of winning an election. How evil is that?!

I recently saw a sign which read, "Assimilation makes us great, but diversity makes us hate." My initial reaction was to criticize the person posting the sign for his lack of knowledge, and his anger; but after thinking about it for several days, and rereading the message several times I realized that he was spot on.

Our Country was founded by people of different backgrounds. Families flocked to America for the equal opportunities which were available here. They came here from the world over seeking a better life for themselves and their children. Although they chose to settle in communities where others from their country of origin were, they insisted on their children learning the American Way. They tried diligently to learn the English language, and tried to speak it at home with their children. They were thankful and proud to be here. They were anxious to contribute to our Country, and too proud to take handouts. They worked their butts off! When the world was at war, they signed up to fight for their new country. Many were asked to fight against their former country, the Germans, the Italians, the Japanese; and they did it with pride. They were American heroes of a special kind. They were assimilated into our Great Nation, and they were glad to be here. They had one thing in common, they were all Americans.

Today the emphasis is on the things that make us different: diversity. We no longer have Americans who happen to be Black; we have African-Americans. We no longer have Americans who happen to be Hispanic; we have Latino-Americans. There is a hyphenated description for every race of people who reside in the United States today. This can't be good! We are focusing on our differences rather than the fact that we are Americans. We should be Americans first! Where is our pride and patriotism!

When Jesus was accused of using the power of demons to drive out demons, He was clear in his message. This message also applies to the multicultural movement in our Great Nation today.

Matthew 12:25, 25Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.

Multiculturalism divides our Country against itself. Those people who promote this are either ignorant to the effect it is having, or despise our Country for its success. It is important that we unite once again, and do those things that make us a stronger nation and greater people. After all, we are in this together.

Did you fail History 101? White America has a great long history of dissing it's immigrants, no matter how hard they tried to contribute. Black troops in all of the wars, Chinese immigrants who built the railroads, Japanese internment camps, tenements filled with Jews, Italians, and Irish, coal mines full of Welsh, Polish, and Slovak workers, the list goes on. Oh! don't forget slavery!

The differences were forced on them by the likes of you. You reap what you sow! gratuitous bible quote!
